Dell 9300 Notebook
Thinking of buying a Dell 9300 Notebook.
I would appreciate those who owned one to give me some feedback on: 1. the notebook' performance in general 2. is it satisfactory to run 1920 x 1200 with the 17" screen for 4-tabling. Thanks. |

Re: Dell 9300 Notebook
1. It seems good so far (make sure to upgrade the memory).
2. You can 4-table with room left over on the side. |

Re: Dell 9300 Notebook
Is 1GB memory enough?
Also, when 4-tabling, do you think the size of tables are satisfactory as far as visual and clicking is concerned? |

Re: Dell 9300 Notebook
I love it...except I didn't get WUXGA ::sniffle:: so I still have some overlap at 1440x900. Works great for all my other apps though.

Re: Dell 9300 Notebook
Looks like a great laptop. However the damn thing's just too big for me. i just ordered a 6000 since you can still get WUXGA in a smaller laptop. I imagine i'll like the thing very well.

Re: Dell 9300 Notebook
My 9300 outperforms my desktop. The 1GB of memory is amazing and it runs like a beast. The size of the screen does not bother me at all, I don't sit all the way across the room from it.. but sitting at a table in the restaurant it is just fine.
A few things to note... 1) Battery power is good while playing poker (4-5 hours for the big battery). But disk and graphics intensive apps like World of Warcraft chew it up FAST (like 1.5 hours) 2) The sucker is HUGE and HEAVY compared to other laptops. It doesn't bother me as I have never been a fan of the tiny laptops but if you are going hiking with it.. be warned. PS: Make sure to get the Dell 750 off coupon, upgrade to WUXGA and to 1GB of memory. Mine ran about 1600 with all that shipped. |
