sounds from upstairs neighbors

So, my upstairs neighbors are always stomping around late at night, sometimes it sounds like they are hammering up there, and they are always dumping large quantities of stuff down the drain, yet I never hear them running a lot of water.

Any ideas what these guys are up to?
