Default 2-4 flush draw in BM... Dammit...

6 handed 2-4 game at BM club in New york. Hero has 400 behind. Villian has 500 behind. Villian is solid. EP is a solid club player 160 deep. Everyone else has around 3-400.

EP limps, MP limps, Hero limps with 96c, Villian limps on Button, SB complete, BB checks.

(pot 24)FLop is QQ4 two clubs. CHecks around to Villian who bets 20, 1 fold, calls up to Hero who calls with the intention of folding a non-club turn and folding a non-club turn of action in front is too heavy. I am fairly certain Villian has a Q.

(pot 120 ish)Turn: 3c. Checks to Hero who bets 60. Villian deliberates, calls 60. Sb, BB fold, EP pushes for 60-70 more, MP folds, Hero raises another 100 on top as I am not sure EP and Villian have Queens, but unsure if I am drawing dead or not. Since I didnt put Villian on Q3 or Q4, I decided to make make it another 100 and make it 160 to call for Villian. If he comes over the top, I can safetly fold, knowing he's filled up.

EP flips over Q3. Now, is the moral of this story to not draw to flushes on paired boards? Or is this one of those times to play because of the money on the pot on the flop/low kicker card combination.

we've discussed this before. you should have been long gone on that flop after the bet and callers (notice the plural), if no one else has a flush draw, you never know which outs are tainted. and even if you make the winning hand there's no value at the river. it was a limped pot, nobody has a high enough q that they'll try to put you on worse trips and call with a 3 flush on board.
