Does this not also mean that you may be staring a 3-bet in the face?

But that is good news also. It means that you only have to invest one more small bet in this pot, before you can give up if you don't like the flop. If you do like the flop, then you have to play poker, but that is where the fun begins.

At .50/1.00 if I raise here, I might be playing it four handed against the limper and all the blinds, but at 5/10, I would expect that it is more likely that I play it headsup against the limper.

I thought the point of the raise here was to fold the blinds, not get multiway action.

Exactly, so I am not going to raise in a situation where it is likely that the blinds won't fold. I don't know if they actually will call at .50/1.00, but I think it is a lot more likely that they will, than it is a higher limits. But if they will fold to my raise, then I like the raise.

on party poker 1-2 playes tight, I would call and watch MP1 very carefully..on 2-4 raise, this level plays very loose...on 3-6 fold you have to be able to out draw or out play..this will be tuff on 3-6 tables

The people voting to fold this are playing too tight.
