Default button steal near bubble?

100+9 on party. 35 left, 30 pays $165, 1st pays 5.8k. don't remember exact numbers, but 11-20 pays only marginally better than 21-30.

i have 3.4k. blinds are 200/400. folded to me on the button with a7o.

reads: i've been at the table about 16 hands. the SB (6.2k)and i have each stolen once, and not played any other hands. the BB (4.8k) has limped in 3 pots.

what do i do?

You are doing damage to both stacks if they call (and bubble), so I think it is safe to assume a good bit of F.E. If you had none, and they called with A7+, KJ+, 55+, you are still picking up over .5 BB on this push. Your stack is still big enough to move for the final table, and I think you get called by A6 as often as A8, so I really like it.

But I can usually talk myself into liking most +CEV pushes, so keep that in mind.

My 1st thought was to raise 3xbb but that's about 1/2 your stack, so if you play, it's a push. You're not that deep relative to the Blinds but not yet hurting necessarily. I think folding is weak-tight....

But you're only picking up 600 chips and how much will they really affect your ability to manuever during the next couple of orbits?

Hell...that's rational, sitting in front of the computer thinking...PUSH

Did folding here really cross your mind?

This has the same CEV (and less variance) as pushing AQo from UG, which I think everyone would agree is a standard push.

No, but if you have a link I'd like to take a look at it.

I created a tool in excel, I just need to input the combos that will call and your equity vs that range. I was thinking about adding an ICM overlay for SNG play, but I have a broken hand which makes VB programming a b!tch.
