I felt the second hand was marginal also. But I still called. Why call with TT and fold 99? Is the decision really that close?

That push by MP1 screams DONT WANT TO PLAY A FLOP. Unless you have some other read. Most of the time this is a pair like 88-JJ,or AK,AQ and most people tend to just standard raise AA-QQ. With Tens i feel just *that* much more ahead of his range to commit basically all my chips.

It depends on the range you put your opponent on. For example, if we're pretty confident that Villians range is "JJ-88,AQs+,AQo+", 99 is about 49.2%. Definitely a close decision given the money already in the pot, but risky if our range is too loose. Compare this with TT at 57.6%. 99 is almost break even here, whereas TT has a ~15% edge. With TT there's a lot more room for error in our range and it has significantly more equity than 99.
