Default Re: Another NYC bust

[ QUOTE ]
If the state of NJ was smart, they'd allow casinos in Hoboken.

It now seems like it's just stupid to play in a cardroom in NYC. It would be great for New Yorkers but the same time I think AC would resist so much that it would be very difficult for Hoboken. I'm sure AC gets anywhere from 25%-30% of their business from New York. When I went to AC I saw so many people I knew just from the 2 cardrooms I play at and spoke to a couple of others that played at other NYC cardrooms, I can just imagine how many more were there. Not to mention the New Yorkers playing BJ, Craps, Slots and the impossible to beat table games.

I think It would be worthwile for the Jersey places close to the City to open up cardrooms like the ones in LA. It would only cut into AC's poker business, so it wouldn't get the same opposition and it would allow us New Yorkers to get live games in without traveling 2 plus hours.
