I figured since Kane seems to be one of the best players at this limit, no one would be making 5 or 6 if he's only at 3. Maybe 3.75 tops. 2+ isn't an unreasonable long-term winrate for a very good 30 player. It's when you start getting near 3 that you're really pushing the bounds of what's possible/sustainable IMO.

[/ QUOTE ]

If I included my ptb/100 at 50/100 and the # of hands i played there my winrate would be back up to 3.6ptbb/100...

I didnt really make this a big point at the beginning of all of this because i didnt think people would get hooked on numbers like this which really dont matter.

Grounding is the following : When Kane wrote that he beat 10/20 for 3PTBB/100 there were bunch of people who said "ONLY !??". No more grounding.

[/ QUOTE ]

IIRC there were about 2, and neither of them had played 200k hands in this game.

Both are figures quoted in Pokertracker.

AP is the average number of players per hand.
PTBB is the winrate number quoted in PT. It's basically a 'big bet' (like in limit), therefore equivalent to two times the big blind in NL. We just say PTBB to avoid confusion.

So for example, if you play 3/6 NL and make 3PTBB per 100 hands, you are making 3x(2x6) = $36 / 100 hands.

last I checked PT databases aren't binary and text compresses very well.

[/ QUOTE ]

its like 190MB after zipped. i was planning on mailing them on a CD.

This is the hh.mdb right? Can someone give me a quick review as to what data is stored in the ptrack*.mdb and what is stored in the hh.mdb? If the ptrack*.mdb is not included, then what information are we missing out on?

Thanks,

KoW

Ah, cool. I'm very surprised that a database containing 200,000 hands is so small (which is why i asked the original question).

Thanks,

KoW

Well I'm about sold. One question Kane, aren't you a little concerned about sending out the secrets to your game? If I know how you play then how do you continue to make a living?

he changes screen names and doesn't tell anyone his new one, I'm guessing. Or he plans to play only higher NL games. Or maybe he's quit poker!
