closest casino to DFW, TX?

anybody know the closest casino with good poker room to Dallas-Fort Worth? Looking for NL Tourneys or Stud 8/b? Thanks in advance.

the closest ive found so far is shreveport(hollywood casino). ive been looking at oklahoma indian res casinos and havent found anything with poker within 2 hours. so i guess the 2 hour 45 minute drive to louisiana is the closest.

Hollywood here in Shreveport is the closest, about 2.5 hours from Dallas, 3 from Ft. Worth. They don't have tourneys or stud though.

I haven't played ay Hollywood in Shreveport, but I have heard their rake is ridiculous (something like $5 min per hand) and the waiting line can be as long as 3-5 hours.

I've been to Lake Charles, LA. You'll find good action and quite a few games there. I think it's a little shorter drive than Tunica. I need to check out flights to Lake Charles.

I'm sure their airport's main use is for crop dusting. For what it is worth, I heard a rumor that Winstar is putting in a poker room at Exit 1 in Oklahoma. I haven't heard anything solid though.

that would be awesome. i went there opening week last year and was very disappointed that it was just a slots house. its just 1 hour away from dfw. let us know if it really happens.

Take my advice with a grain of salt. I heard from someone that they are building a poker room. Hopefully its indian poker, I would love to see that in a casino!
