Another ME Hand - QQ on terrible board

Blinds are 250/500 w/ 50 ante. I have 27,000 and a tight table image. Villain in EP raises to 1500 and I have QQ in LMP and reraise to 4,000. Villain has been raising a fair amount, but mostly from LP when it was folded to him. He probably has about 18,000 behind. Villain calls the reraise.

The flop is AsKs9. I have the Qs.

Villain checks, I check.

Turn is a blank non-spade. Villain checks, I?

Few options, you can bet the turn representing an ace and hope he folds his ace or king, or you can just check the turn and call his bet on the river, he could be betting with just a medium pocket pair.

I'd check behind and not rock the boat.

I'd feel better betting the flop and checking behind on the turn like I actually had a hand.

I would have bet the flop and folded to a c/r. This gives you the chance to represent an A and get him to fold KQ and the like.

You have to fire a continuation bet on this flop. Bet 5-6K, and fold to a raise. Shut down if he flat calls, unless you hit a Q.

I'd bet the turn. It looks fishy, but he could see you playing AA,KK, and AK this way (AK less likely). Also, with no 4th spade you're not giving up much equity when behind by folding to a checkraise. It's your last chance to win the hand if behind to a weak ace or king, and you don't want a medium pair betting out on the river when you check. If you're called, I think you have to give up on the river facing any meaningful bet.

Check behind? The boards absolutely awful. I can't see how you'd be letting him off the hook by not raising this time.

Well, I checked the flop because so I could:
a) possibly pick up the spade flush draw
b) get a better read on the turn because he has to act first
c) possibly represent a AA or KK on the turn

I bet 5K on the turn and he checkraised me. I folded quickly and he showed AK.

I really don't like betting the flop here. There are very few hands that would call a reraise, overtake you on the flop, and fold to a flop bet. Some say KQ and the like, but IMO that's just too remote of a possibility in this spot. Pretty much all of the hands you'll fold are drawing plenty slim at this point, and you have a slight chance of overtaking the hands that have you crushed.

IMO the only way you are going to get a better hand to lay down is on the turn, and your opponent will need to come out firing for that to happen. Once he checks it to you, I think you should check behind. The only way I see you folding a better hand is to fire bullets on the turn and river, but that's risking an awful lot of chips when your opponent could be holding a monster.

[EDIT] Another reason I like checking the turn is that, assuming the river bricks, you'll lose less when behind and gain more if your opponent decides to bluff. If he has nothing, he'll probably be tempted to fire a decent sized amount out since you've shown so much weakness. If he has you beat, he'll probably fire a much smaller bet since you've shown so much weakness.
