Re: Barry G recommends pushing in spots like this but it feels wrong
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I would fold this hand. There is an utg limper and a guy raising an utg limper and you have only AJs. [/ QUOTE ] This is too simplistic. What if the limper is captain limp-a-lot and the raiser is "graaaaar i have a big stack fear me" [/ QUOTE ] If I had the power, I'd make you the official villain namer of the forum. |

Re: Barry G recommends pushing in spots like this but it feels wrong
Sometimes this kind of play is a good semibluff. I can't tell the position for sure, but I might psuh with AJo against a late position raiser. Sometimes, I might push against an mid position raiser with AQ or TT even if I might be dominated, if I thought there was a good chance of getting a fold.
Rather than calling a 1/6 of your stack, you may be better off pushing or folding. By pushing, you may win the pot right there. Some people just can't fold AJ or whatever. In a lot of situations, it is better to fold a good hand to a raise. |
