Super Demo World

WTF ???

It's a hack of Super Mario World, meaning it uses the SMW engine/graphics but with new levels and new worlds etc. 120 exits. Like Stefan says, it's completely awesome and strictly better than Super Mario World, which is my favourite real SNES game (not much experience with the console). It's much much more difficult than SMW, which is great considering the difficulty was SMW's biggest flaw IMO.

SDW is created by some japanese dude I think, and if you google it I don't think it should be difficult to find and play on an emulator. I recommend it.

I always loved Shadowrun... and also lots of other games that've already been mentioned here.

there was also a pretty good ncaa football game for snes, where the game was an overhead view with the field laid out on a lower-left corner to upper-right corner diagonal. not sure if any football games have gone with that style since, but it played well.

two sleepers.

Metal Warriors - Awesome split-screen side-scrolling mech combat game. Kind of hard to find too.

Metal Combat 2: Falcon's Revenge - Arguably the only Super Scope game that was worth playing! It had a very fun 2-player battle mode where one player used the controller to play as the boss character on screen and the other player used the gun and you unloaded tons of missles at each other.

[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I was a tester on this way, way back in the day. We would play two-player all day. Good times.

I had forgotten about this. Back in the day, it was my favorite two-player game of all time. I don't think I played the single-player mode more than once or twice.
