Re: PokerNOW scary Terms & Conditions
I read Pat's post. I have hard time believing most PT users track just their own stats and not opponents. It seems to me there is a good case for considering PT opponent-profiling and GT+ surely seems to fit also. I wonder if they will really follow thru on trying to stop this or if it's just for show.

Me too, I'm tempted to not even bother with the bonus, but it is just too tempting. It's like saying no to cheap sex with an ex girlfriend. You know she's bad for you, but.. sex is sex.

Re: PokerNOW scary Terms & Conditions
WTF are you guys afraid of? Does anyone actually believe they will confiscate your assets for using Pokertracker when they've already proven they let bots, cheaters, and colluders off with a warning/slap on the wrist?
When I play B&M they take "screenshots" too, and if you don't like the invasion of privacy you can leave; the analogy would be getting thrown out of the casino with your chips confiscated for taking notes. I'm happy they're going in this direction and have nothing to hide; it adds to the legitimacy of their games. If Habib wants to watch me view porn, that's fine. |

Yeah I'm not using pokertracker or gametime there. It's not worth having funds confiscated, IMO. [/ QUOTE ] That's not going to happen. What may happen is the other skins change their T&C to match. The next step after that would be to publicize a new policy and start warning people. Pat is certainly correct that they have tolerated and even encouraged PT and the newer tools. But they could change their minds and move in a new direction. Remember that all the sites read the zoo. Party knows that even the pro population who uses these tools is ambivalent about their fairness. It feels like we are trapped in an arms race, adopting new weapons just to avoid being at a disadvantage. So I could understand why they might be having second thoughts about what they have allowed. I'll ask again: are these clauses in the PokerNow agreement new? Perhaps some old PokerNow customer printed the T&C when they signed up? If they are new then I suspect they mean something. If they've been there all along it probably is just one of those funny things that don't quite make sense. |

1. Last modified date for PokerNow: 4/28/05 versus last December for the others. [/ QUOTE ] Yes, fine, but no one knows if the clauses arguably relating to these tools are what they changed. They could've changed something completely unrelated, and these clauses could've always been there. |

Party didn't buy PokerNow to launch an attack on the player community. If they plan to ban tools, they will let us know in advance. |
