"4 people limp, sb strangely folds"

Must have been Tommy, with A-Qs.

Good turn bet. Hard to imagine either of them have much of anything. If called, you bet the river unless you make a pair?

i cant believe i am getting involved in this, but you guys need the help on this one.

there is another girl in front of the hottie who is performing the same dance move as she is. she is wearing a black outfit and has brownish red hair color.

they are outdoors in front of a building, and that "bookcase" is actually 2 street lamps.

there is a camera on the ground getting a nice shot at her panties.

the white bars definitely look like a pool ladder, and that is the only thing i can make it out to be, even though it seems out of place in this setting.

"I would have bet the flop, especially in a
loose passive game. It will often scare someone into
checking a medium sized pocket pair on the turn, buying you
a free card. Or better yet, it may even get somebody to
fold one on the flop. I also would have bet a weak jack in
the same situation, and possibly checked it on the turn,
depending on how things went, so betting the flop here is
also consistent with that. It would also be nice to get
something like T9 to fold the flop as well."

youre confusing loose passive with weak tight. loose passive players just call and call and call w/ any pair, gutshots, etc, etc. weak tight which is what you describe is where they fold too often.

Default the rest of the hand

"If called, you bet the river unless you make a pair?"

maybe. depends on what card comes. and if they both call or just one of them.

anyway they both called the turn. the river was the Qs. i bet, the cutoff called, and the button overcalled. i turned over my 9 high flush, cutoff shook his head, sighed, and mucked, and button turned over the Ts5s for the winner.

hi mike

great, great betout on the turn. no doubt you took it down right then and there.

of course, you know to watch for buttons like the one described, when in the CO and being checked to by a large field. if you have a powerful hand, you must never check to the button hoping to trap the multi-way....unless; unless the button bets out of turn. then you can check from the CO. so in that particular spot, do nothing. allow the button to bet out of turn so that you can check after he bets. and make it a give up check.

the button you describe can only be depended upon to occasionally bet out of turn. if you're in the CO, allowing him to do so when you are powerfully strong, is well worth it. the reason; you can not risk a possible check down even if you think that the button will likely bet, when a large field has checked to your powerful hand.

buttons who act out of turn are very, very profitable to you.

If I were you I'd go back to the casino and ask for my money back, as there were 2 5s in that deck.

I think the white bars are a bike rack.

If it looks like the cutoff might be making a move, wouldn't check-raising and leading the turn put more pressure on him?

[/ QUOTE ]

Of course it would but it would be bad in this spot. why not call and take the equity from callers behind you? the semibluff on the turn is perfect. save the checkraise for when you hold A high.

I understand the difference, but unless you are telling me
that every player in the hand would have called the flop
100% of the time with something like T9 or T8, my point
is still valid, as you want those people to fold. Just
because they are loose and passive does not mean that they
are going to call every flop. Also, loose passive players
do not bet or raise as much as they should, so, as I
already mentioned, betting the flop may buy you a free turn
against these players when they should have bet. I just
threw in that they might fold one of these hands on the flop
as a bonus. It sometimes happens, even in loose passive
games. The flop bet serves a couple of purposes. One of
the purposes is to get people to fold a few hands that even
loose passive players would fold. But that is not the only
reason to bet.
