Maybe one day he'll use his winnings to buy you a new house or something. Seriously though, I think teaching kids things like chess, go, and poker are hugely helpful in their brain development. They can suck down learning at an unbelievable pace at that age too, so just a little effort, along with parental approval, goes an incredibly long way.

She's learning how to add/multiply and some deductive reasoning. So, I think there's some good things to learn from playing, and as long as she sees me play responsibly, she'll have a good example. You have every opporrunity to set the right example instead of the wrong one, and set it early and so it in real deep and sticks.

[/ QUOTE ] I agree with you but as kids grow up they stop playing Magic and Pokemon, but they start reading poker books and learning things like there is no such thing as 5 of a kind, or a straight like that. All of these young people will grow up, and some will vote. Plus North Carolina just got a lottery. Which means....
Poker will be legal in most of America in 10-15 years. And I, for one, will own a poker barn, via an opaque corporate veil from a Nevada LLC of course. "I vill splash zee pot in my room venever I vant!" Matt
