Default To raise or not to raise?

Wanted your thoughts on wheather or not to raise with AKo/s in:
1) Early position
2) Middle
3) Late with a raise Reraise correct play?)
This was a subject of debate with a fellow co-worker. I say raise almost always(x>90%) to build the pot, chase out chasers who call and end up on the losing end most of the time, to earn a free card on the flop. He says no b/c he never hits a flop.
What are your thoughts???

Let's compare arguments, shall we?

While not completely correct, this argument is close, and is at least grounded in poker theory.

Arguments like this are why I make money playing poker. I shudder to ask what this person's raising requirements are.

AKo is an automatic raise, almost always a three-bet, and usually a cap depending on reads.
