Marceli1981 folds. Sir_Poulsen folds. BeerFan1 folds. luckylynnie calls [50]. jtry1220 folds. Pokerpms raises [100]. luckylefty7 folds. andrewgold folds. luckylynnie calls [50]. ** Dealing Flop ** [ 4c, 2s, Qh ] luckylynnie checks. Pokerpms is all-In. luckylynnie calls [440]. ** Dealing Turn ** [ 8d ] ** Dealing River ** [ 5s ] luckylynnie shows [ 2h, 2d ] three of a kind, twos. Pokerpms shows [ Qs, Js ] a pair of queens. luckylynnie wins 1155 chips from the main pot with three of a kind, twos. Im thinking that the preflop raise of 50 was a dumb idea. At least a raise of 200 might do something even make KQ, A5, low pp fold. But i think a call was the right choice. On the flop i would have to bet out say 150, but if i got re raised i would have to fold. is there a better line ? or do i have to lose chips on this hand? |

Re: hows this play.
I would've pushed preflop. Raising to 100 is bad, and raising to 200 is worse. Remember, you only have 540.

Re: hows this play.
Raise preflop was ok but all in on a flop is horrible. Only hand that will call you is the one that beats you. By going all in you force all the players you can beat out. Bet at it and then decided if he comes over the top what to do. Again preflop your raise was good. DOnt overcommit yourself by raiseing too much than you commit yourself to the pot. YOur only other option preflop is all in. Which probably would have forced him out .If the blinds were 75-150 its and easy all in push . 50-100 its a marginal push although your chip stack is low so i might push at 50-100 at 25-50 i think your raise was good. But like i said your postflop play was bad. Think about what you try to accomplush by going all in.

I don't really like limping this but hate minraising more. I think it's push/fold. Yugoslav |

Re: hows this play.
You're right about the all-in on the flop being bad, but only because he wants to get paid off. There's no way with his stack that he can make a decent sized flop bet and fold to a raise. Once he bets that flop with top pair, he's pot committed as short as he is. Folding to a raise on the flop would be God-awful.

Might I ask why you min-bet preflop?

This seems really reckless. I don't like it. I limp/fold this preflop. [/ QUOTE ] With 9 players left, I'm more inclined to push here. This isn't shaping up as a tournament where it is going to be easy for the hero to make the money. He has the 9th biggest stack and will soon have only 5xBB, so I think some aggressiveness is in order. We have a reasonable amount of FE right now, but that's not going to last much longer. I like to push now while it still hurts my opponents to call. QJs plays pretty well against the range of hands that a 10/1 player might limp/call with. If you get called, you are likely 40-50% to double up. At some point, you are going to have to get lucky, and this seems like as good a time as any. |
