Default Defending your blind in the BB after one raiser and no other callers

What sort of hands do you call with in the Big Blind after a solitary raiser and no other callers? Assume a full table, stakes 15/30 up to 40/80, no particular reads on the raiser - obviously needs to be broken down by their position. And when do you re-raise?

This is a very difficult problem - particularly as you're out of position for the rest of the hand [unless raiser is SB]. I tend to call with hands that are easier to detect if youve hit the flop or not: suited connectors, one-gaps, pairs, suited aces etc. I don't tend to call with likely dominated hands like Ax or KJ.
