Seattle-area folks, FYI
Just got back from playing $3-6 at the Silver Dollar in Renton (they just opened -- it's right off 167). For the entire month of January, they're doing high hand payouts every hour from $100-$300. If there are three tables of at least 7 players each, it's $300. Two tables with 7 players, $200. And so on.
The games (there were two going when I played) seemed pretty soft. And the high hand thing -- which runs from noon-4 a.m. -- is a nice little bonus. Just thought I'd let everyone know. |

Is that the little casino just N of the Keg on E Valley? I thought it was called Billie's or something.

It's past Billie's, located in an old Bingo hall. But you're in the right area. Billie's, by the way, just shut down their one poker table. Must be the only casino in the world CLOSING poker right now.

What's a high hand payout (from a Seattle poster)?

If you make a house, of say Aces full of tens, then that goes up on the high hand board. If it's the best hand of that hour you get a bonus. It's a nice little bonus if you happen to make Quads or a Straight flush or Aces full. With 3 tables or possibly only 1 table a house is going to take it down most hours. |

The dealers and players were friendly, so I felt comfortable there. The only drawback was that a lot of times, they couldn't get a game going. |

[/ QUOTE ] The four hours I was there, the hands that took the bonuses were: Aces full of fours, nines full of jacks, quad jacks, and my rivered King-high straight flush. (Which sucked out on the high hand -- aces full of kings -- with about 10 minutes left in the hour.) Oh yeah -- they have Monte Carlos, too. So my straight flush scored me an extra $66. One guy told me that when they had one table going, a jack-high flush (yes, only a flush) took it one hour. BTW, congrats on the big win, Slavic. Must have been a blast. |

Isn't that a bad beat jackpot? [/ QUOTE ] No. The aces full of kings hand was just the high hand of the hour so far. It wasn't in the same hand as my straight flush. (And there's no bad beat jackpot at this place, anyway.) |
