My God...$40 million a piece? Why can't they just give me like $100,000 to help my bankroll along, just 1 or 2 chips out of that $80 million freezeout stack

I doubt that Andy will accept it but if he does I want to watch this on TV.

looks like there's going to be a showdown and you can see how the negotiations are already starting.

Beal: We play in Texas. I choose who plays.
Doyle: We play in Vegas. We choose who plays.

It'll probably go back and forth for a while. Hope they continue publicly, makes for good reading.

But because it is so public, it makes me wonder if they're trying to generate enough interest to get it televised. Maybe some eventual heavily promoted post-Super Bowl "20 Million Dollar Poker Match!!!" with both sides getting millions for their efforts.

I propose a race around the world to decide who is the best poker player. They will stop and rest in each continent, and play $1/$2 limit hold 'em against a random homeless poker player. Whoever isn't stabbed to death by the homeless guy when he loses all his money is declared the winner.

From my reading of Doyle's letter there is no way Andy will accept. Doyle is offering no concessions at all. Andy already knoew he could play 30,000-60,000 against a player of their choosing in Vegas. He wants to play higher and have the right to choose his opponent.

I would be amused to see Doyle try to destroy a Vegas $2/$4 table.

The key word: TRY

Is there a site with info on who plays in this game?

It's always just heads up, Andy and 1 other?
