Default $400 - QQ hand

Not sure if this is interesting, but anyway.

Full ring, me & villain have about $700 each. No real reads on villain, other than he hasn't done anything stupid that I've seen. My image is definitely aggro pre-flop.

Folded to me on button, I make it 15 with QQ. Villain makes it 45 in the BB. Most likely he has JJ+ / AK, but smaller pairs and something like AQ/AJ also possible I think given my image.

I call, flop is JcTcX

He bets 75. I call (?)

Turn is Q (no flush). Interesting card, now he bets 150. I call again.

River is the T and we get it all in.

Anyone play flop / turn different?

I think your severely underestimating your opponents hand range here. I think you should only be calling the pf raise with the intention of playing for a set.

Why is this the case?
Is it the 3x raise oop?

OP didn't provide numbers for the opponent. He stated that he's been aggro preflop, and I guess this is his standard opener from most positions.

If others share your opinion, I'd like to know the when and what of giving the opposition credit for an ultrapremium holding considering the fact that you've been opening/stealing frequently and the other players suspect/have seen that your standards here are wide.

Of course if this is routine fare, feel free to direct me to the right place. I'm new to these parts.

Think I agree. I was calling in hope that he had something like AK & would give up on the turn, but there's very little else he can have that I'm ahead of.

I have a hard time folding this flop, but I think it's correct here. Because even if he checks the turn, can be bet strong? Checking gives 6 outs a free chance and no better hands will fold to a bet.

Your ahead of a contiuation bet, from an AK,a lower pair such as 99, or a preflop resteal attempt. I think you played it right. I would have been a little concerned of AK on the turn, but I'm not laying down top set. I think you showed good control not to raise the turn, there are many players who would auto-raise here, without even think about the villain's holdings.
