I raise PF, bet the flop and either cc or bet-call the river.

Did he show you his cards or something? I don't see how you can fold that.

Id probably bet the flop. I cant beleive you check/folded the river.

I use auto-bet all the time... and auto-check, and auto-fold.

Well nobody has put the guy on a hand you beat. I can't see a problem with the fold.

I can't put him on a hand that beats us either though. Wouldn't diamonds or 43 have bet the flop? Also look at his play in the hand Bobbyi posted. I'm thinking there's a good chance he has something screwy here.

Villain is BB here so he could have any random starting hand. Jx is a distinct possibilty as is 43. On top of that he could have 25 maybe Ad5. The fact is that the pot is so big and he got a free play in the big blind that you almost have to call here.

a good player wouldn't check and call 2 cold with Jx. He also would only call 43s out of BB and would bet 43d on flop so thats 3 combos of that. Even if he did, 43 just rivered a straight... 25 doesn't check and call 2 either. Neither does Ad5.

You should not be excited by the possibility of him having 34.

Then tell me what that something screwy is!! It seems a ridiculously far-fetched bluffing line for any crazy maniac let alone a TAG.

I can see a TAG playing a small flush draw or 43 in this manner from time to time. Reaching this river with a hand that doesn't beat JT I cannot.

A2-A5 with the A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] perhaps? He would be getting 6:1ish effectively on the flop so I suppose I can see him justifying a call with these hands. On the river I can imagine this player betting the pairs for "value" and the low Aces as bluffs without giving much thought to it.

And maybe a worse J? He checks going for a c/r on flop, but when it's two to him decides to simply call down and collect overcalls since he might have kicker troubles. Of course when checked to on the river it becomes a simple bet for him.

These are both stretches but I think they are on the same level of weirdness as checking the flop with a four flush or 43.
