Default Folding AA

Right now I'm in the middle of a 4 billion BB downturn (ok, ok, not quite but you know how I feel).

I've tightened up to compensate and this hand came up as part of it. I was gutted at the time and it played on my mind afterwards.

I knew I was beat at the turn, and quite badly too. Was I right to fold or was I wrong ?

Reads : SB is TPA, MP1 is a fish.

Default Re: Folding AA

Looks fine to me. Calling his check-raise on the turn is a big mistake against most opponents at this level, and you were in fact correct in your read.

Just because you would have hit your 2-outer on the river (which you weren't getting anywhere near good enough odds to draw to) doens't mean you made a bad fold. In fact, you should be congratulating yourself for making a good fold, since most people aren't able to lay down AA ever.
