I'd say it is close between raise and call.

You can't say this without explaining what you would do if 3-bet. Unless you are arguing that raise/X is close to call.

So you took your read and went with it. Its not a bad way to go. The only problem i have with the line is the overcard (Q) on the turn, the donky line usually comes with fewer overs, so i don't know if hands like 66 (i don't remmeber the board, so just whatever PP would fit that didn't set up) or 78 or something are less likely to donk once the second face card comes up.
In all i would guess its a slightly losing play in this specific instance, but hte overall shania (not getting donk bet on rivers so much, more people calling your river riases) could overcome that. maybe.

Well we have no read here which is the main problem. Too often I will see poor players donk with a lower pair so that we don't check behind our overcards. This is more true when we raised pre-flop and bet both the flop and turn because those could easily be continuation bets. It is also more true when an A or K is not on the board because those are more likely to have hit a PF raiser's hand.

Also, look at the river card. 3's don't generally help many peoples hands. This is where knowing how loose the villain is would help. He is the type to defend with a hand containing a 3? Also, if it did indeed help his hand it isn't obvious so why wouldn't he c/r instead of donk? Granted, for the reason stated above he might be worried we will check behind, but that doesn't mean he won't get greedy and go for the c/r anyways.

This would also be a pretty easy fold to a 3-bet against a typical player barring some other read.

also, i am wondering how low i should go on raising: aq, kq, aa, kk. for reads, assume villain is a donk.
