He gleefully turns over AJ, and I "Hollywood it" for a few seconds, slowly peeking at my cards, then BAM! I slap down the bad news.

[/ QUOTE ]

while i heartily approve of everything leading up to this point, i believe the exagerrated slowroll is unnecessary unless the TOM had previously demonstrated complete douchebaggery and, even then, it's a very close call.

otherwise, very well done, sir.

[/ QUOTE ]

i don't think this would be a slowroll. he was acting like he hadn't seen his cards yet and i'm guessing that he squeezed them really slowly.

Sorry I wasn't able to stick around. Playing all Friday afternoon and night at Wynn totally wiped me out.

2+2er's can be so strange. No matter how many times I post about meeting others, no one ever comes up to me. I know some of you were there, too, because they were trying to get the PLO game going next to ours, plus we stayed from about 4pm-11pm.

Am I really that intimidating? That is the most common excuse I hear...

Sometimes you either don't hear things or ignore random people in poker rooms saying hello. At least, one of the two happened to me in vegas.

Well, Felicia, if you read OOT, you know that the average 2+2er does not have a clue about how to relate to women. I hear the word "intimidating" applied to me all the time. It merely means intelligent woman who can hold up her end and beat men at their own game. Actually I am a plump, cuddly Pillsbury doughgirl until I run across an officious, condescending fool, and then I am bitch-on-wheels. Ordinary inoffensive fools get a free pass.

I hope you are doing well in the recovery department. Next time you are in Vegas, say hi.

LOL

Who knows! 2+2er's are strange, just look at that Ed Miller, for example. Boy, wonder what kind of parents raised him...lol

I guess I still look a lot like a guy. When I first sat down at my table, a man there kept waving me down saying, "Sir, Sir..." Finally I looked at him and said, "First of all, I'm a woman!"

So maybe being a female wasn't the problem, maybe they all still think I'm really a guy

This was my first attempt at playing Stud games again since chemo. I didn't have a hard time until I got tired, and then I couldn't remember any card off of the deck!

Good to see you are doing well. I was worried about your situation. This was the first time I'd been back to Vegas since before chemo started, so it was kind of an experiment to see how I'd fare. I think I'd better wait another month or so before testing the waters again (still completely wiped out over 24 hours after arriving home).

I will let you know when we come up for real and can make plans.

Oh God I just woke up with the biggest headache! Best hand from last night...

Tight Old Man (TOM) is watching the Magoo action, just licking his chops, dying to join in and make some big bucks from us. We oblidge him with a seat and vow to take every bit of his $100 buy-in.

Several hands later I look and see AA and declare, "Blind raise.", tossing $2 into the pot. TOM re-raises, everyone else caps it, 10-handed and the flop is A J something. Checked to me, I bet declaring, "Blind bet.", TOM re-raises, a few others stay, I re-raise saying, "Blind re-raise!", capped, etc. Turn is some non-threating card, checked to me, "Blind bet!", TOM re-raises, the rest fold, we cap, etc. River is crap card again, I bet out, "Blind bet.", TOM and I cap it. He gleefully turns over AJ, and I "Hollywood it" for a few seconds, slowly peeking at my cards, then BAM! I slap down the bad news.

"That's fcuking bull$hit!", TOM yells out, as the table howls. The dealer is pushing me the enourmous pot, I tell the dealer to half it and keep that for his tip. TOM is still cursing up a storm, throws his remaining few chips to the dealer to and says, "You can fcuking have these too!", and storms off.

Good times.

The best was when they told us there were only $2k in $1 chips left in the whole casino.

[/ QUOTE ]

Easily the highlight of the night.

"Sir, uh, could we buy a couple of racks from you guys so we can start another table?"

The ~$220 toke was pretty sweet too.
