Default Anyone multitable on a 19\" CRT?

Being value oriented (i.e., cheap), I'm looking at low cost alternatives before I pop for a Dell 2001fp. I stopped in Best Buy today and saw two 19" CRTs that should do the job, both at $179. There was a Viewsonic with 1792x1344 and a Samsung 1920x1440. My question is whether 4 tables on a 19" (actually somewhere around 18" viewable) are clear and readable. A 19" CRT takes up a lot of desk top, but that is not a problem for me.

Thanks for any help.

I multitable on one 19" CRT and one 21" CRT. It's fine, not as nice as some 2001FPs but still good. Everything is very easily viewable.

I've got two of them, I like it, however when I can afford the 2001fp I will be buying two of them...

so like two years from now probably.

I use my 19' to multitable and it's fine. Make sure you look at the specs to see what the refresh rate is at 1600x1200 though. I had an old one that did 1600x1200, but at 55Hz or something, and it hurt my eyes so much that I couldn't deal with it.

Use it here as well. No complaints, other than that stupid brightness sticker they put on it that won't come off.

it's more of a matter of space than it is a matter of image quality, imo. if you don't mind losing half your desk, there's no reason to have a flat screen monitor.

my 19 in CRT works just fine for 4 tables... i need another one though, 'cause i play six or more at times...

i have a 21" flat screen crt and a 19" round crt. i got them both off ebay for around $100 each. get them from there.

get the flat screen monitor. it really hurts my eyes staring at the round one all day.

the 21" flat screen works great for me. only downside is that its heavy and takes up space.

I have a Viewsonic A90, and it does well. I have 2 rows for my start bar, so I get a bit of overlap, but only place I notice it is on crypto's.

I use two Samsung 997DF's. Only issue is desk space. The picture is excellent and the price is right.

That's the one at Best Buy. The specs show 1920x1440 at 64Hz and 1600x1200 at 70 Hz. Do they run OK at max resolution, or do you keep them at 16x12?

The Viewsonic site says it can run at 1792x1344, but recommends 1280x1024, at 80Hz. They don't list the Hz rate for the max resolution.
