Re: Best B&M trip NOT Vegas?
Depends. If all you want to do is to play poker, probably Commerce. If you want to eat for free and donk it up (or have a significant other that likes to donk it up) with some video poker and craps, Tunica. If you actually want to see stuff outside of a casino, I can't help you, you're weird.

Re: Best B&M trip NOT Vegas?
Compromise between the SoCal and NoCal suggestions (both excellent IMO): Rent a car in LA if necessary and drive up the coast to San Francisco.

Re: Best B&M trip NOT Vegas?
If you are just looking for poker, then LA or AC and FW.
If you want to see/do something else too, then AZ. Phoenix has one fo the largest rooms in the US at about 50 tables (Casino Arizona) and has a wide ranges of limits/games spread. You are close to many tourist sites, resorts and the like and many fun things to do. Not too mention there is nothing like walking around in clothes that most people only wear in June in the middle of winter. |

Personally I don't mind AZ but I'd still opt for CA so I can see what real West Coast sprawl and traffic looks like. YMMV of course. |
