Can any one explain or point me in the direction of rules for the game. Thank you much.

I may be wrong, but I think it's a triple draw lowball game played with four cards instead of 5, and having four different suits is lower than A234. A dealer at the Horseshoe explained this game to me once, but I can't remember if it was Badoogi or another strange name, so hopefully someone will correct me if I'm way off.

Try this: from Poker Pages. There are a number of alternate spellings. Not sure which is correct. They play it for high stakes at Commerce, don't they?

They were playing 400-800 BEHOT at the Commerce last week. I asked the floorman, wtf is the B? He replied: Badoogi. Guess that makes it

Badoogi
Eight or better
holdem
omaha
triple draw

I didnt reread it now but I believe the pokerpages link has the rules wrong. It is a lowball triple draw game you get four cards and get to draw three times.

The best hand is A234 rainbow, Any four cards of different suit is called a padoogi and beats any non padoogi. If two or more people have padoogis then the lowest hand wins.

If you do not have a padoogi, For instance you have a pair in your hand or two spades then you are playing three cards out of your hand. If no one else has a padoogi and no one else can play three cards you win. If someone else is playing three cards then the lowest hand wins.

If you had two pair or two spades and two diamonds in your hand then you could only play two cards etc.

Since they started spreading it at the local casinos, we've played it a few times in the home game I frequent. I really like playing it, as I think most players don't understand it (i.e. don't have a feel for the quality of their hand) and tend to make poor decisions on every street.
