Default How many arabs killed by Americans?

Does anybody have any idea about these numbers?

Number of American killed by Arabs.

Number of Arabs killed by Americans

I appreciate human life so much, damm Im so frustrated, How is possible that there exist people in this world that have no appreciation for life, unless is your family's or people from your country. Just dont get it. Why is so difficult for them to feel bad about all those lives lost? I use to think that this was a common human value. Not anymore, there are people that just dont care, there are people that even enjoy it. How sick

Maybe so. But then again, if that's used as an excuse for the US killing arabs I guess you can turn it around. Since westeners has been killing each other in enourmous numbers it's perfectly ok for arabs to kill a few as well.

And if it's not used as a excuse, why did you post it?

Why do we see many posts these days where some one ask for an opinion about something and one reply offered is that it is not as bad as some other reprehensible behaviour. This is just another example.

Can you judge something or offer an opinion without simply offering an example of a worse behaviour? This should specially be true in analyzing our behaviours (as we can do something about our behaviour, far more easily than change others).

I think you have to consider how many Iraqis and Afghanis are alive today who would not be had we done nothing. Saddam and the Taliban were actively killing people in their countries year after year.

If we kill a mass murderer, should we bewail the fact that we killed a person? Or should we consider that we saved a bunch of people whose identities we will now never know?

Do you really believe that? Have any data to support your beliefs?

Would you support France, Germany or China invading Sudan, Rwanda or Saudi Arabia for example?

Black and white thinking vs. grey thinking. One of the most important differences between Conservatives and Liberals.

Conservatives think the people they're fighting, people unlike them, as evil. Much easier to kill someone when you think they're evil, and you're good. That's part of playing video games as the good guy.

Liberals put everyone on the same plane much more. They think mass murderers should have the same rights as everyone else, to exaggerate. They don't believe the detainee in Guantanmo Bay or the insurgent in Iraq is evil.

LC: Who you are is what you do, and what you do is who you are.

Act in your own best interest, even when you are no better than anyone else.

People don't care about life, in general, because all people (and I feel pretty comfortable in saying this) are self-centered. That is, if you follow the thoughts far enough back, we are motivated only when something affects us and not a moment before. Ex. People don't care about the soldiers dying until they realize that dead bodies are a good platform from which to launch their own agenda (Reps. call them heroic patriots, Dems call them patriots whose deaths were in vain).
Is it right? Well "right" and "wrong" is pretty fluid. Sorry that there isn't a better answer, but the down and dirty answer is that people don't care because they don't get anything out of it.

You can not with certainty identify who would have died in the last two years under Saddam, since history has taken a different course, but you are fooling yourself if you think after decades of mass murder, he would have stopped or even slowed down. You wouldn't trust my numbers anyway. If you care about life so much, look up how many Saddam has killed while he was in power, and be appreciative that he can no longer continue his murders.

Not without a good reason, but this wasn't the issue of your OP, and the US did not go into Iraq to save people from being killed by Saddam. But we must not overlook this positive side effect of our deposing his government. The people of Iraq know that we have saved more lives than we have taken, and when you consider that Saddam and his sons could have remained in power for decades of more killing, the numbers saved over the decades will be HUGE. Thanks to the US. If you truly relish allowing people to live, you will thank the US every day for Iraqi lives saved.

France or Germany, yes, probably; China, definitely no.
