If you lose money because of your bad connection, that's not my problem.

[/ QUOTE ]
As I stated previosly, the problem was not a bad Internet connection; it affected two totally separate computers in different parts of the city using 2 different ISPs and was most likely a regional router problem.

If anything, DP should just give you extra time to reconnect.

Typically, the PartyPoker message says something like "Player X is disconnected and has an additional 20 seconds to reconnect." This is an absurdly short time to (a)realize what is happening, (b)leave the table, (c)log off of PP, (d)log back on to PP (waiting for their popup screen to appear in the process), (e)get back to your table, and (f)complete your action. No way this can be done in the time allowed. If they gave you, say, two minutes that would be more realistic. If you can't reconnect, tough luck. This would at least allow the legitimate disconnection to continue in the hand, and the cheater who chose not to reconnect would have his hand folded.

"Player X is disconnected and has an additional 20 seconds to reconnect."

Is that what they are removing?!!?! If so, then that SUCKS!
if the player doesnt reconnect then his cards are mucked. it makes no sense to remove this feature.

it's great because i sometimes have a hiccup in my isp connection.

No, they are removing disconnect-protection (all-in protection) in tournaments as of April 15. They are continuing DP in cash games (which seems like an inconsistent policy). My point was that 20 seconds is an absurdly short time to reconnect and act if a complete disconnection occurs.
