The best way to run a league and keep excitement going all year long is to do away with matchups each week. If it is a 12 team league, then each week, the top six point getters get a win, the bottom six get a loss.

Then in the playoffs, week 14 top two records get a bye and the next four play, but again no matchups. Top two point getters win and advance to semis, same format.

The superbowl is technically the only "matchup" head to head game.

This prevents someone from losing a match 105 - 100 and see someone else win 67 - 61 which always pissed me off.

Mine is certainly 20/pts rushing. My commissioner must suck, I'm talking about you, Drew16. Douchebag.

Hey, if you want to play in the kiddie league, go ahead. We dont need your suckass pulling down "Just the Tip" anyway.

FF sucks because I have Tom Brady and Mike Anderson on my team, and chose to bench them this week, in the playoffs.

Dammit.

Default Matchups > total points

[ QUOTE ]
The real reason Fantasy Football sucks is that a team can finish 2nd in points(my team) and finish 5th and miss the playoffs to a 4th place team who scored the least points in the whole league.(12 team league!!!)

[/ QUOTE ]

This isn't how real football works. Why should FF be any different?

*BRAG POST* First time playing FF...going to the finals this week! And after the week I had (Brady, T. Barber, C. Dillon) I like my chances. If I had started Cooley instead of Shockey and PIT instead of DEN, I probably would have posted an all-time high score for my league. Good luck everyone!

Because in real football, you control how many points your opponent scores?

Because in real football, teams make the playoffs based on their record against other teams, not by how many points they've scored in the season. My league had a team that was fifth or sixth (out of ten) in points scored but second in record against other teams. But that's okay, I smacked him around by 40 points this week. Going to the finals, baby!

So you got lucky...congrats.

Maybe you just have a very great karma defense, and can limit the amount of points you allow.
