The ruling should be a mandatory slap on the wrist for
rhetoric... (ambivalent and placate were not your best
choices there)

Slap taken. Glad it was just on the wrist. Always thankful for wordsmithing input.

If the offending words were changed to "uncaring" and "comply", what would you think of the situation mentioned?

If someone abuses the IWTSTH hand privilege, call the floor. The floor can take the right away from him if he is abusing it (ie. using it more than like once or twice in a night).

Default Re: Do rail birds have the right to ask to see cards?

[ QUOTE ]
"When I say rail bird, I mean a guy who was in the hand pre-flop but folded", and to be more clear not someone who is out of the game, and to be more clear not railbird in the traditional since, and to be more clear not someone who hangs around a poker room who watches the games and/or is looking to get into action but as I defined it. .I am really sorry for the confusion and I hope that helps. Just didnt know the term for "who was in the hand pre-flop but folded" that would fit in the subject line, which was the reason for the clarifier "When I say rail bird, I mean a guy who was in the hand pre-flop but folded."

[/ QUOTE ]

Hmm. So I guess when I call you a douche I really mean condom, because that's on about the same plane of logic as your railbird comments. Don't get so defensive, just learn...

Do you say anything in that situation where the spirit of the rule is clearly being violated

[/ QUOTE ]

No. You shut the hell up like the kid said. You should've been smart and kept your mouth shut. I'm sure you impressed everyone with your knowledge though.

I like his hat of the month club line. haha

I usually don't say anything, and then fold preflop face up in the guys direction until the dealer tells me to stop and then I tell him to shut the [censored] up and then I start telling the player to [censored] die and then the floor gets called over and I finally stop.

Tell him he has a pretty mouth. Then wink at him.

You should've asked if he was in the Insult of the Month club.

does this really work? there was this guy at my table a few days ago that asked to see mucked hands 5 times in 3 hours. He was annoying, but the dealer always defended him when other people got pissed off, saying he has the right to.
