Default Head up tactics

I had a headup game going yesterday on UB that left me puzzled. 10-25 NL. I would frequently raise on the button and my opponent would frequently call. Almost invariably, he would lead out on the flop for a 1/2 pot bet. Assuming your opponent is skilled, what line(s) would you take against him? Thanks.

How large are your raises? Would he continue to stab at the pot if you called the flop? What did he usually do when you raised the flop? Lots of variables here that you didn't mention.

How many hands have you played HU at those limits? HU at 10-25 is a tricky beast where, as you know, the first substantial bet often takes it down. Did you call his raises, or reraise? If you folded often to this play of his, he's going to keep doing it.
