Default Did I make a good laydown here? PS $5 MTT

Late in second round of PS $5 MTT. Had increased stack by 50% as most players at table weren't that great. Villian had come in 8 hands earlier and had VP$IP of 25% and no pre-flop raises until this hand.

Did I make a good laydown here or was I outplayed by AA or a semi bluff? His bet would have put me all in and I couldn't put him on a hand but there seemed to be too many possibilities that beat me. Thanks.

No way I'm folding here. You're only folding if you know he has AQ or the flush, and even then you're getting odds to fill up on the river. I instacall and expect to see AK.

First off...bet the flop, you need to make a continuation bet here. If he has a K he probably raised and then you can push. Secondly, as soon as he bets you should have re-raised him more and pushed the turn. I have no idea how you could fold this. You even have quads/boat to a redraw in case he has the nuts right now. Never fold a set in this situation.

Push the turn. 8 hands? You think he's some rock peddling rock just because he didn't raise for 8 hands? This is terrible...this fold.

I think I'd just push on the flop. If he is on a draw he has to pay for it. But you are at 1300 which is still enough to play for more. I end up calling with 11 outs if he hit a flush (or the very unlikely straight) or ahead of anything else except a set of kings.

I know what you're saying but it's better than having no read at all.

I agree. That's my usual line but I thought he was a bit tight and would fold to a bet. I thought checking might at least induce a continuation bet which I could raise.

I assumed he was tight but obviously 8 hands isn't enough of a sample to make that determination.
