craps betting systems: dewey do? dewey don't?

Has anyone heard of this?

Does anyone know of a site or something with betting schemes and breaks down why they don't work for various games? I don't know enough about craps (or the system) to try to figure it out.

yeah hi, thanks for the pointless response. Now again my questions:

has anyone heard of the Dewey do/dewey don't system? and can explain the procedure?

Is there a website that outlines famous betting systems that someone can direct me to?

I dont have an answer to your original question, but if you knew much about craps is that you have to take a -EV bet in order to make that 0% house edge odds bet. So therefore, your overall EV is still - no matter what you do. The only way around this is to find someone at a casino playing line/come with no odds and just take the odds all day long.

It wasn't pointless, it was exactly correct. If you take a series of negative expectation bets, no matter how you vary the wagers, the total expectation of the entire series MUST itself be negative.

The odds bets, as you point out, are zero EV, so you can ignore them for this purpose.

Search this forum. There are plenty of good threads that explain why betting systems fail.

Sorry, I was sort of an ass to the first response. I apologize.

What I meant was I don't need a canned response of 'it's a -EV game, systems don't work.' I know this. I was more interested in the faulty betting logic of this particular system and others. A website debunking the logic behind well known systems would be something of interest to me. Perhaps my op and follow up weren't clear.

Sorry if anyone was offended, except for pbp, who directly attacked me rather than a comment, or logic used. you can eat a dick.

Yes, it is a system from one of Frank Scobletes "Captain Craps Books." Basically the system states bet the pass and dont pass at the same time. Squeeze your cheeks and pray a 12 doesnt roll or you lose everything you grinded for the last 2 hours. After a point is established, take or lay odds as you wish. This is a SURE FIRE way to ruin your comps and piss off the table personnel. Its called gambling for a reason. If you want to make money in a casino, get a job there. Even then the pay sucks ass. And no, I do not work in or for a casino.
