Check to see if you have the "My pc does not update timestamp" checked. i unchecked that and then converted one of my drives to NTFS and it sped things up 3 fold.

Buy a cheap second computer, put PT on that. Network the computers and share the hand history folders between the machines so the machine with PT can read the files on your play machines hand histories folder. Then, when PT is doing the importing, it will slow down your PT machine and your Play machine will note even hiccup. With the price of used and new entry level systems, this is really the best option.
Vern P.S. You can even use a HUD this way by then sharing the folders with your PT databases on the PT machine so the HUD operating on the play machine can access the database files on your PT machine. |
