Default 20.1\" vs. 23\" LCD

I am purchasing a new computer and am trying to decide between a 20.1" dell lcd and a 23" sony premier pro lcd. The dell is $600 with a coupon from dell, and I found the sony at a few random clearing sites for around 1200-1500. Is the difference in price really worth it for the larger monitor? In terms of poker and being able to use the system to watch movies and so forth? And finally, does anyone know where I might be able to aquire the sony for prices better than what I have found? Cheers

I don't know anything about the sony LCD, but seeing as you can get the dells for $550 with a couple coupons I don't know why you would want the sony when you could buy two of the dells for less.

Ummm...31% more screen area? Just a guess. Assuming both specs are viewable area not including the bezel, the difference in screen real estate is far greater than it sounds. I dunno much about the Dell LCD...but Sony makes a beautiful display. I'd probably lean that way.

Not less but newegg.com has the SONY SDM-P234/B 23" Wide Screen Flat Panel LCD for $1589. A very sexy monitor.

What's the max resolution on that sony? If it's huge and let's you 8 table or something, getting 2 of them would be sweet.

If the sony is the SONY, SDM-P232WB BLACK LCD 23", then it has a resolution of 1920 x 1200. This gives you another 320 pixels on the side, not enough to fix another table fully.

I would get 2 Dell's for $1200, you will be able to 8-table and it will still be less than the Sony.

I still haven't bought a second monitor yet. Rather than start another thread I'll ask here.

If I'm on 4 party tables and I join the waitlist at Empire will it try to seat me at a table I might already be sitting at on Party?
