These statements are not contradictory. A 12 year old most certainly has not graduated from college.

Oh btw. I don't think that I'll have debt issues in the future. I don't use credit cards, I'm all cash. I got scared outta my mind by a friend's debt issue. Don't want to go into it here, but it's scary enough to make me never want to use credit cards. I know that that will probably be impossible, but I'm just going to use them for bills in the future. Set it up to auto-pay from cash and not put anything on them like airplane tickets or whatever.

[/ QUOTE ]

You're probably right that I might have projected too much onto you based on your OP. Credit and debt shouldn't be feared, but they should be treated with a great deal of respect. "The borrower becomes the lender's slave" (Proverbs 22:7).

shadow,

The only thing that's helped me in terms of motivation is to move up where I realize I've got something new to learn and a lot more money to make.

The realization that poker is boring is a very situational one, for a long while at least. I know that the greatest players and posters have realized that it can be a very boring game overall (read Diablo's thoughts on this matter), and my response to this is that I'm going to play until I reach their point, but while I'm playing, I'm going to invest in other things -- businesses and such -- such that when I get bored, I've got something else to go do. That means playing a lot more than just covering my bills.

Anyway. Just IMO.

Rob
