Default lucy jones bonanza

do people think the lucy jones bonanza is worth the ffort for $80.
I was thinking of givign it a go (now that I am on holidays) playing three tables at a time at 50c limits. The only thing is being in OZ I gotta start at 6AM and go till 3 pm. How many hands will I need to play to get into the top bracket?

cheers

i happened to be just getting ready to play right before 3p est today. when i logged on i got a message about this so i figured i'd start out with 3 tables and see how itd go. so much to my surprise when the rankings came out at 3:15p est, it said that i was 599 hands short of 140th place!?!

of course discussing it with a customer service rep was futile. "Kumul" insisted that it was possible because "some people play 2 tables at once".

if you played the max of three tables and i played 0 raked hands, for someone to be 600 hands ahead of me in 15 minutes, that works out to 2400 hands per hour, or 800 hands per hour per table. so since "Kumul" says it's possible, how do you people do it? lol

Looks like they've timed it 3-12 instead of 12-3

Edit: 12-3 (15 hours) instead of 3-12 (9 hours) someone pushed the wrong buttons.

you wont get the $80 bonus by playing 3 tables of .50/1.00 even if you start at the start time and play all the way to the end. You may not even get close to the $40 bonus. I did it twice last time and never even got 40. You probably need to play higher limits to ensure that a majority of the hands are raked. What a waste of a day it was for me last time...

I've made top 20 by playing 3 6 handed 1-2 tables last time. I think I took an hour break so I played 8 hrs each day and averaged $200/day = $25/hr. So it's worth it if you're a decent SH player.

Is there anywhere that actually says how many hands you must play? Obviously it changes but ballpark figure

I don't know the exact number but if you want to be top 20 you can't take much more than 1.5 hr breaks for the whole day....this is assuming playing 3 6 max tables. So approximately 7.5 hr playtime = 90 hands/hr * 7.5 * 3 = 2025 hands alltogether. Hope this helps.

Remember that the bonanza is back due to "popular demand" according to the latest news letter. Thus, there has got to be, not one, but many players who have contacted Party and asked for this great promotion once again. To say the least, that is hard to beleive.

Finally, a semi-intelligent post. Do you even play poker? Or do you just troll this forum searching for threads on conspiracy theories and the like that you can bandwagon on?
