Default 6.5: Check the turn with my overpair?

I was scared of the Ace, of course, but I don't like givine a free card if he's on some kind of draw. Maybe I should pop in a 300 bet (folding to a raise of course) here and try to check down the river if I get called? I believe that as I played it, I have to call the river.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (9 handed)

BB (t1500)
UTG (t955)
UTG+1 (t1560)
MP1 (t430)
MP2 (t1420)
MP3 (t1390)
CO (t1630)
Button (t3145)
Hero (t1470)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

Hero bets t90, BB folds, UTG+1 folds, MP2 calls t90.

Turn: (t300) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 checks.

River: (t300) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets t120, Hero calls t120.

Final Pot: t540

Why no raise preflop?

I would raise preflop to t150. Other than that I think you played it fine.

I don't have a good answer. I've just moved from Party to Stars and I was typically completing with this at Party because raising here to like 100 would take a big stack-chunk and I was more comfortable completing. With more chips here, I think I should've raised.
