it seems like Brad plays squeaky tight and he's aware. I don't think he assumes KK is good when the flop gets checked through. I think overcalling the turn is very bad

Brad's turn bet is killing KK 100% of the time.

Brad has A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG has KK
I have AK with the A crub
UTG+2 always says he has JJ

[/ QUOTE ]

corrected your post. I like UTG +2, but he will cap quicker than the average tighty whitey if he thinks it will give him a leg up.

What only Chris knew at the time is that I folded on the button when it was 4 bets to me with QQ.

No biggie, this was a really, really big pot, and I don't trust Dave (SFer) either.

[/ QUOTE ]

Funny you should say that. If you recall there was a hand when Dave and I went fast and furious on the turn.

I think Dave was the big blind, BBJ raised, I 3-bet and Dave capped. the flop was a rainbow of something like 9 6 2. I don't recall how the action went on the flop but it was probably Dave bets out, I raise, Dave 3-bets, and I call (intending to pop him on the turn). The turn was another blank and we went 5 bets heads up on the turn before I slowed down. River card just didn't matter any more... bet-call.

I had AA. At what point should I slow down?

It's nice sometimes to be perceived as giving a lot of action.

How did we play the hand?

as I said in my post, I think your flop check is fine given that you have the A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I was kind of surprised you didn't raise the turn, but now I realize you knew you were chopping with Brad 100% of the time and would like to give the pocket pairs reason to believe they had the best hand

Brad said he wanted to check-raise the flop. I thought he should check-call. when he cold calls a cap and check raises with an A on the board that just makes it too obvious. a check-call could still be a pocket pair. since it got checked through, I like his bet.

UTG has got to muck KK on the turn

16 SB's in there. I'd bet the flop.

I wouldn't go 5 bets on the turn with one pair even against someone I think gives lot of action
