Default Double-counting in Harrington vol I ?

I guess this has been posted here before but since I couldn't find it, here I go:

Harrington on Hold'em vol I page 272: "Don't make the mistake of double-counting"

on page 221: "With 17 outs (nine flush cards plus eight straight cards), he almost had the money outs for a proper call on fourth street" (holding 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] with a board of T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]).

Am i missing something here

I have the latest edition (Dec 2005) by the way, so I guess this hasn't made it's way to the errata yet
