Default did you have a firewall set up?

Samething also happened to me... fkin bastard. What kind of internet security measures do you have set up on your computer?

I'm partly at fault for what happened because I was not very good about protecting my computer, but now I have a firewall set up that alerts me when something is trying to access the internet.

So if I had this, then when the MYTOB virus tried to send the keylog info back to the hacker, the firewall would've alerted me about it and I could've stopped it... Or at least that is the idea. Who know if this virus is so advanced that it could've escaped detection.

Did you have a firewall, but still got hacked? If so, then that's scary and I wonder how you other guys are going to protect yourselves?

Regarding the deposits:

Thief steals credit cards. He deposits on my neteller. He then makes purchases with an online merchant.

It makes it impossible (or at least very difficult i would imagine) to trace the cards back the thief.
