Re: some pf hands from my session tonight
a) fold. this is not cheap enough. With 1 more in, it's a maybe for this table. We don't have biggedlyness.
b) fold. if he tighty-wighty didn't limp, this would be an easy raise c) complete. I this is borderline with raising tho. We're not folding BB, and we'll be OOP. Oh, this is 6-max. Herm. raise for value d) fold. we have same LPP in the BB? this is another hand I play for 1 bet, or open-raise CO/button, but we can't play here. just don't think our hand has equity. |

1. Fold - too likely to be dominated. [/ QUOTE ] i think this one was marginal but i said call. your not playing this for the Ace or 8 though, in most cases you will have to calldown or laydown any A high flop. your playing this hand almost purely because you believe the implied odds indicated by the other runners' actions will give you enough pay off when you do make your flush that 2-3%? of the time. are the odds there? i dunno but i call it on most tables, particularly if i have reason to believe the blinds will come along for the ride. |

Sooted is not nearly as important as the fact that you have a dominated ace. [/ QUOTE ] So what good is A2s? It is CLEARLY dominated. |

Re: some pf hands from my session tonight
my actual actions:
hand 1:I called for implied odds. If I'm calling this otb after 3 limpers, I'm calling here as well. I know how to lay down an ace. Still, I'm going to work some math up on this one. hand 2:I raised, he called and check/folded the flop. I make this raise routinely from this position in 6max, so I'll do it here as well. I also don't mind testing someone out early in with this holding. hand 3:I called, but I really would like to see a discussion as to why this would be better than raising. Villain openlimping from the button confused me, but at the same time I hadn't noticed him trying to steal my blinds at all. pf stats can be decieving sometimes. hand 4:I folded and thought wistfully of hand one. Re: some pf hands from my session tonight
I nearly choked when I saw how many people wanted to fold in hand 1.
In a five handed pot there is only ~5% difference in EV between A8s and AJs. Both likely have dominated Aces. Are you guys folding AJs or ATs. |

If no one is raising preflop, you may have the best A with A2s (or A8s). If someone is raising, a big portion of their hands are A's better than yours. |
