do you usually limp in with AKo from the bb? If so, why? Or why did you do it here. I'm trying to learn.

As for the line, I like the turn push.

Looks like UTG+1 has a club draw and MP2 has an A, 2 pair, or a set of 9s.

Just curious, why do you wait for the turn to push?

Preflop is alright. I usually make a big enough raise to just take it down preflop here. That's a pansy sized 3 bet on the flop. What do you know about MP2? I think the push is fine... three hands I can give him are A9, 99, or some sort of big draw like QJ [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] which is unlikely.

Well, MP2 played his hand very oddly, but he's effectually all-in at this point so it doesn't matter much whether he has 99 or A9. UTG+1 already as half his stack in there now, and he's been announcing that he's on a draw that whole time. Best to make him pay while there's still a card to come and he doesn't know he'll miss. Of course he might have any of the three sets as well, but the pot is so bloated and his stack is so small that you can't worry about that anymore.

It really doesn't play well out of position. I think an argument can certainly be made for just checking (and limping UTG, for that matter.)

how do you read villains? utg+1 has a draw and mp2 has A9s?

do you reckon that mp2's size raise to 3 vs 2 opps means he's not protecting a set?

I think playing against these short stacks(20, 40) complicates a lot. mp2 is basically all in anyway and utg+1 is getting about 3:1 for the flush draw for which he needs 4+:1 so I think that is close enough to tempt an undiciplined player.

I think it looks very good but depends on how often MP2 has a set.

i like it...

99 is the only hand im worried about. i see idiots in these spots calling with A9,K9,9cXc,QJc,TJc,AQ and all sorts of other random nonsense. the way i see if they called the flop their calling the turn and u dont want to risk giving a free card, NH...

You mean check? Not usually, but if there is already 3 people in the pot, sure. I don't wanna play a pot out of position with just A high.

Was trying to lock people in for more money. I still figured I was ahead. If the turn blanks I can just push and probably still get a call from a flush draw. With a bigger bet, I might push the flush draw out.

I'm not entirely sure. I think I just figured I needed to slow down. On the turn, I didn't want to check-raise all in and shut out the action for the flush draw. I just open-pushed hoping to get the flush draw in for his whole stack and at least give me a shot at coming out ahead in the hand. It's not exactly a grand play, but whatever.
