Default Rake back and current Empire bonus

Hi,
Just wondering if going for the Empire $300 bonus will work out less profitable than playing 6,000 hands with my Empire rebate?

Do you still get rakeback on the hands played to clear bonus?

Thanks

Yes, but the bonus will be deducted from your MGR.

You sure? How many hands (including non-raked hands) would it take, at 6max for example? I saw on the other thread someone mentioning the 12k-18k range? I have 13k hands on my current level and its generated just under $1k gross rake.

Cheers

A 20x bonus played at .5/1 or 1/2 limit would generate at least .50 * 6000 / 10 = $300 - or break even if every hand had 10 people sitting in. Deduct from MGR and your MGR would be $0. For 6 max, it'd be .50 * 6000 / 6 = $500 or + $200 MGR.

A bonus is always more profitable because its like 100% rakeback.

What if it was 40x, 100x etc? Surely a bonus isnt always more profitable?

Bonus is always more profitable assuming you are getting RB anyhow. If you don't have rb and play a 40x, the rb somewhere else might be more profitable.
