i would frown violently, then fold.

Hero is getting better than 2 to 1 and you would fold???

He gives no reads or even where the game is.

i just assumed game was party and opponent was typical... if this was live, or opponent is retarded, then of course call instantaneously... but what kind of moron checks this turn in a live game?

Hard to put someone on Quads, but come on, this looks exactly like how most fish would play it. Raise pre-flop. Check/call the flop omg i slowplay. Check the turn omg im Mr.Tricky Im gonna slowplay again. Check-Raise the river all-in yay I win.

does anyone bet this turn btw?

[/ QUOTE ]

I would throw out a small value bet hoping villian read it as a weak steal and calls, or comes over the top with a lesser pp.

Hero didn't define villian as a fish...

I think you should just move in on the river if you're going to call this raise unless villain is tricky enough to go for the bluff check raise.

...or KQ or KJ (giving the assumption worse hands don't call flop)....or any pair

[/ QUOTE ]
Huh? Maybe I'm missing something, but hero didn't give any details on his image or how loose/tight villain was playing. So it would be fair to assume that both players were "reasonable".

If so, what kind of hands would a reasonable player re-raise to 120 (after another reasonable player's raise to 45) btf? Most likely hands are AA/KK/QQ/AK.

JJ and TT are are also possible, since most non-LAG players will re-raise those hands in more unusual circumstances, like trying to isolate a known LAG to go heads-up. But we aren't given that fact, in this case.

Do you really think hero could've made a pf raise with KQ/KJ/any pair often enough to justify a call from villain? C'mon...

Given that villian checked the river after the turn got checked through, i think this is a call.

Perhaps you missed what I was getting at: Hero should've checked behind at the end. Point being, after the pre-flop action, I can't see any second-best hands calling his "value bet" on the river.

If you were villian with QQ, you would fold to the $200 river bet?
