Am I supposed to isolate here?
Final 2 tables of Paradise's $50,000 guarantee.
Although this hand didnt mean much in the long run, I think it introduces a possible leak in my game. Im in the SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG goes all in. It is a measely amount, about an SB's worth more after calling the BB. It's folded to me in the SB. I have around 100k in chips, the BB has around 50k. The blinds are 2k/4k. My move? I called, even though I thought pushing might be better. Flop came 234, i checked, BB bet and i folded. The river was a 5, would have given me the nuts. BB showed A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] to beat UTG's K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I would. You don't want to take that hand three-handed. Raise it up, but don't push.

Raise it up, but don't push. [/ QUOTE ] This is a great point. You definitely want to raise, but need to take into consideration that BB could have a hand. You need to have the discipline to fold if BB pushes over you (I didnt check his stack, but I'm assuming he would seriously dent yours).

Was your goal not to eliminate the player? His stack was immaterial to both you and the BB. I think you played fine, the BB erred when he bet (betting clearly states that he has a hand he thinks will eliminate the other player). I don't understand why the BB bet here.
Lucky for him he did though...
