Default getting ready to buy new chips

k, i ran a search for this, i'd have better luck finding..well i cannot think of anything witty.

i want to pick up nexgen poker chips, specifically the river poker tour series.

for those of you that have ordered these before, do you have a preference? ebay? any specific online store? poker supply store? was going to go with ebay, and that will roughly cost $120 with shipping, not too bad..just wanted to check in and see if there are better buys out there.

I believe http://www.discountcasinogear.com/ has the best prices on buying Nexgens these days. Not sure how it stacks up to the eBay prices.

hmmm..could that be true? i was checking out 5star and labels cost 30cents per chip...for a 500 set that's $150, bringing up the grand total to roughly $260 before shipping. i have no experience and no knowledge when it comes to labeling chips but that seems pretty high!

*edit* was just checking out home poker tourney's website and found a link to labels...for high quality labels, one company charges $50 for a set of 500 chips..that's not too bad

Nexgens on sale here, but not the river tour version

http://nevadajacks.net/mall/composite_chips.htm

.12 per chip, plus the case, but they only have limited colors.

and if you want to design your own labels: http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/cms_vi...cle.php?aid=34

Cro --

You're in luck big time if you want the RPT 8100s
Go to 5StarDeal and look at the 200 chip sets.

They're currently offering 200 of these for $26.24 with a case. Order three sets and it's $79 for 600 chips. Since I think they cap the shipping at $19.95, it's $100 delivered.

For some weird reason, I think this pricing of about .13 a chip only applies to the 200 chip sets.

Good luck!!

Oh, though you didn't ask, fwiw, unless you're buying them and intend to use labels, I'd go for the faux clay instead.

hey thanks for the tip! so if i'm going for labels, you recommend i get a different set? if so, which set? i'll keep shopping around and will keep doing my research. i want to get a mid-range set, i'm not ready to spend $1+ per chip, but will do that one day, just not yet!
