Default my loose call in the bb cost me a wsop seat. was it a mistake?

I was at the final table with 66,000. the chip leader had 77,000. first place wins the $13,500 package. I was in the big blind with Tc 2c. The big blind was 3,000. Normally, I wouldn't call a raise here. However, the cutoff made the mininum raise and the small blind called. Assuming the first limper would call and not reraise, there would be 24,000 in the pot. So I felt it was worth 3,000 more chips to try and hit a big hand. Well, I hit my big hand alright. I flopped a flush. The problem was that so did 2 other players. I don't think I've ever seen 3 players flop a flush in the same hand before. Obviously, this was terrible luck. The question is, should I have been involved in this hand in the first place?

You're getting 6:1 immediate pot odds and 7:1 if you expect MP1 to merely call. That's good enough for any 2 soooooooted in my opinion here, especially because if you win a big pot now, you're in great position to win the whole thing. You got unlucky that someone else happened to have better clubs.

I can empathize with missing a seat since I bubbled last week, but you played this right. In my mind the only thing that should have slowed you down would have been another club falling post-flop.

thats why i made such a big bet on the flop. i wanted anyone with one high club to either fold or put in all their chips to draw. i really didn't think about my call too much until i mentioned this hand in another post and someone asked what the hell i was doing calling with T2s in the first place. i felt like i had enough chips to call such a small raise and try to win a big pot with a flush or 2 pair. of course, when it back fires it makes you second guess yourself.

you were the only person who played the hand correct.
they both played it preflop terribly. sucks when other peoples bad play costs you due to weird circumstances.
